David Soon is a Melbourne-based Specialist General Surgeon with expertise in dialysis access surgery, hernia surgery, and complex abdominal wall reconstruction. He is committed to providing personalised, evidence-based surgical care, ensuring every patient understands their condition and treatment options with confidence.

In addition to his general surgical practice, David is a Consultant Transplant Surgeon with appointments at Monash Health, The Alfred and St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne, where he performs kidney and pancreas transplantation and complex transplant surgery.

Following completion of his General Surgery training in Australia, David undertook advanced fellowship training in kidney and pancreas transplantation and complex abdominal wall reconstruction in both Australia and the United Kingdom. His international experience has provided extensive exposure to complex surgical conditions and modern surgical techniques, including minimally invasive and robotic surgery.

David believes that excellent surgery begins with listening. He understands that every patient has different priorities, concerns and goals.
